Production Project Engineer – Muir of Ord

RSE is looking for a Production Project Engineer to join our team in our Muir of Ord Production Facility. This exciting and fast-paced role will involve liaising closely with all aspects of the Production Facility to ensure projects are being delivered on time, within budget and to the correct specification at all times.

The successful candidate will get the opportunity to work on some of the largest and most complex Water Treatment projects within the UK Water Sector.

The Production Project Engineer shall be responsible for ensuring that all instructed Production works flow smoothly through the Production Facility without delay. This will involve material procurement from related design drawings, through to coordination between each of the functions within the Pro-duction Facility to ensure that information and material is available for works to proceed. The Production Project Engineer shall also be responsible for managing queries within the Production Facility and, where required, obtaining an agreeable documented solution with the design team. In addition, the successful candidate will assist with new and ongoing digitalisation improvement projects which provide the necessary systems to help streamline our production processes.

Other duties include preparation of tenders, management and implementation of QHSE procedures, providing project updates to all relevant internal Business Streams and producing RAMS.

The ideal candidate would have,

• Proven track record in an Engineering or Supervisory role with project management capability
• Previous experience within a Production or Manufacturing environment.
• Good knowledge of applicable Design Codes, Technical Standards, Regulations and Approved Codes of Practice
• Good time management, with the ability to multitask, plan and organise day to day workloads within a busy environment.
• Good communication skills in both verbal and written communication and the ability to follow/ interpret/ explain technical instructions, with good IT skills in Microsoft applications
• Good interpersonal skills with an ability to work with, lead and motivate others at all levels and be able to bring projects to successful completion
• Good knowledge and understanding of Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety processes/ procedures
• Self-discipline with the ability to resolve actions given within the agreed time frame.
• Proactive in identifying potential project blockers.
• Ability to chair meetings in the absence of PM.
• Self-motivated to deliver to customer expectations.
