Projects Team Members Run London Marathon in Aid of MS Society and Blood Cancer UK
Connor Buchan, RSE Project Engineer, and Calum Cruickshank, RSE Project Manager, took on the challenge of running the iconic 26.2-mile course from Greenwich to The Mall in the 43rd London Marathon.
Connor completed the London Marathon in an amazing 4:03:30 and was proud to be running in support of the MS Society, a charity very close to his heart. Connor wanted to run the marathon as a way of giving something back to the charity and to contribute towards the world-leading research into treatment for the disease. Connor smashed his original fundraising target, raising an amazing £4,160 for the charity.
Calum also ran an impressive time, completing the course in 3:53:19 in support of Blood Cancer UK . The charity funds vital research into various types of blood cancer, including Leukaemia, which has had a huge impact on his life. Calum’s marathon training had been a real challenge with new injuries appearing weekly, but his focus and determination to cross the finish line have all been worth it by managing to raise an amazing £4,600.
A huge well done Connor and Calum, we hope you are proud of your achievements!
