RSE Graduate Wins Water Industry Awards Rising Star of the Year

We are extremely proud to announce that RSE Graduate Civil Engineer, Kathryn Dalgleish, has been awarded the winner of the Rising Star of the Year category at the Water Industry Awards 2022, hosted by Utility Week Innovate.

Kathryn has been recognised for the award due to her significant involvement in the management of projects during her graduate apprenticeship with RSE, quickly progressing to managing small value capital works projects.

Kathryn has excelled at identifying efficiencies to benefit RSE’s reporting and inspecting forms by suggesting and implementing a digitised process which automatically produces UKAS-certified reports on the day of site inspections. Due to its success, this resulted in Kathryn leading the launch of RSE’s Site Managers, Electrical Inspection, and Commissioning apps, created in conjunction with TickAudit.

Thank you to everyone at RSE for their continued support in my career development, I’m very grateful to have been given the opportunity to develop as a Civil Engineer and trusted to take on responsibilities and implement innovations within my line of work. I would also like to thank my line manager, Brian McCulloch, for all the support he has provided to me over the past couple of years and for the nomination for the award, it really hasn’t sunk in yet!

I’m very pleased that Kathryn’s hard work has been recognised by achieving the Rising Star of the Year award, its very well deserved as her contribution to projects and the wider business have been invaluable.

Kathryn is a well-deserving winner of the award for her efforts over the last 3 years, her collaboration with Tick Audit at the primary stages of the Chemical Tank inspections enabled RSE to deliver a significant cost and time saving on this project which can now be applied across the business. It’s a pleasure to be Kathryn’s line manager due to her excellent work ethic and ambition, which has been evident since she joined RSE.

RSE is delighted to have supported Kathryn throughout her graduate apprenticeship and into her Graduate Civil Engineer role. Kathryn is a real asset to the team, and we look forward to following her achievements as she embarks on her career.
