Our Flatsheet Ceramic Membrane System
The Flatsheet Ceramic Membrane Version of Our Modular Ceramic Treatment Unit (m-CTU®)
A New Standard in Water Treatment
We have collaborated with an industry-leading supplier to incorporate ceramic membrane ultrafiltration technologies into our m-CTU® Flat solution.
The result is a highly efficient, resilient and secure treatment process that meets the demands of modern water infrastructure. By combining efficient membrane performance with optimised process design, the m-MBR®Flat reduces both energy demand and carbon emissions while maintaining high treatment standards.
Available for purchase or lease, the m-CTU® Flat can be used in new installations, to retrofit existing infrastructure or to provide continuity during plant maintenance.
Designed and Manufactured in the UK for Durability
Built around robust, high-grade ceramic materials, the m-CTU® Flat delivers superior filtration performance. Flatsheet membranes withstand extreme temperatures, aggressive chemicals and heavy-duty operation, providing a design life of more than 20 years.
This durability translates into fewer replacements, lower lifecycle costs and a genuinely sustainable solution across applications, including drinking water, wastewater and industrial process water.
How it Works
The m-CTU® Flat system integrates proven treatment processes into a compact modular format:
- Optimised coagulation dosing for effective contaminant removal
- Submerged flatsheet ceramic ultrafiltration membranes act as a physical barrier
- Stackable modular towers provide scalable capacity
- Integrated backwash and chemical cleaning systems
- Fully automated controls with remote operation capability
Key Features
- Rapid deployment. Scalable, plug-and-play design tailored to municipal and industrial applications
- High treatment efficiency. Integrated with our standardised coagulation dosing systems for exceptional contaminant removal
- Compact & scalable. Configurable to site constraints and footprint, the m-CTU® Flat has a small footprint and the ability to increase capacity by up to 3x, often without new infrastructure
- Cost-effective. Lower whole-life cost compared to traditional, site-built systems
- Built-in quality. Built using carefully selected, high-quality materials. Fully assembled and tested before delivery
- High-flux performance. Minimal backwashing and reduced chemical cleaning, lowering both operational downtime and waste
- Sustainable by design. Reduced energy consumption, lower emissions and minimal waste through optimised operation and off-site construction
